"We are so delighted that our neighbor, Emma, is running for Mayor. She brings her experience as a legislator, mother, woman, and member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Emma understands the challenges that many community members, including renters and students, face when it comes to being able to live and pay your bills in Burlington. We are fully employed, yet we live paycheck to paycheck after taxes, inflation, and supporting our kids through middle school and college. We know the feeling of writing a check fearing there isn’t enough in my account to cover it. Emma understands that many working families face this and that she’s ready to lead this City to a more livable future! We are honored to support the first female Mayor of our City, and especially someone who will listen to all Burlingtonians and make sure those who are least represented will have their voices heard. It's time to collaboratively solve the challenges, such as affordability, that Burlington faces now and in the future."
